Quantum Learning for Teachers (QLT)

Quantum Learning for Teachers programs help educators put joy in the learning process and turn classrooms into optimal learning environments. We offer a range of programs, from one-day to five-day workshops at your school, at offsite locations and at our campus in Oceanside, California to reinforcement refresher days and in-classroom coaching days. QLT Teaching Skills: Levels 1-5 (Each level is a one-day, six-hour workshop) Quantum Learning for Teachers is a professional development program for educators that provides a proven research-based approach to curriculum design and delivery. Methods include the steps for building a strong foundation, a positive atmosphere of rapport and respect, and a supportive environment. Quantum Learning teacher workshops and training also include steps for improving presentation skills, designing engaging lessons and identifying and reaching all types of learners. Educators learn strategies for effective classroom management, accelerating learning, making content more meaningful, and supporting standards-based curriculum. Participants receive resource manuals appropriate for their specific training day(s). QLT Public Workshops Quantum Learning for Teachers Public Workshops are like the QLT programs described above; however, they are open to all K-12 teachers, Title 1 coordinators, Administrators, GATE instructors, Special Ed instructors, Counselors, and Adult/Vocational Ed specialists. Instruction covers QLT Levels 1 through 5 during a 5-day workshop. Participants can take the full 5-day program or, choose one or more days depending upon their prior QLT training. There are two Public Workshops scheduled for June and July in 2009 at the QLN Campus in Oceanside (San Diego), California. QLT Reinforcement/Refresher Days Quantum Learning Reinforcement courses deepen educators' understanding of each Quantum Learning training level. The facilitator assists your team in how best to apply the concepts and strategies to individual learner needs and classrooms. Teachers get the opportunity to interact, ask questions and practice their skills. Refresher days update the QLT program and workshop participants when there has been a significant time lapse between levels. QLT II (Five-day program) The QLT II workshop is available to teachers and administrators who have completed Quantum Learning for Teachers Level 5. This program takes your Quantum Learning skills to the next level by building upon the foundational elements of accelerated learning - a specialized repertoire of teaching skills and strategies. QLT II advances specific knowledge of neuroscience, cognition and motivation in the educational setting of teaching and learning. Teachers and administrators learn how to best deliver the learning process, calculate specific curriculum design strategies into daily teaching practice. Workshop participants focus on the optimal ways to challenge and engage students in diverse ways. The purpose of the course is to create an impact in learning, use optimal designs, environments and connections for classroom of students K-12.

QLT Classroom Coaching Days Quantum Learning for Teachers Classroom Coaching days involve fun, dynamic and interactive exchanges between the Quantum Learning facilitator and teachers in their own classrooms. The facilitator provides support and feedback and fine-tunes Quantum Learning techniques for greater performance. When desired, the facilitator will personally instruct a learning skill class and model Quantum Learning methods, as well as meet with teachers for individual coaching, brainstorming and debriefing.

QLT Facilitation Fundamentals (One-day training)
Quantum Learning for Teachers Facilitation Fundamentals covers the basic delivery/presentation methods that can be applied to presenting learning and life skills. This is a prerequisite to the Learning and Life Skills training workshops if the teachers have not completed QLT Levels 1-5.

QLT Learning and Life Skills Workshops
(Prerequisite: QLT Levels 1-5 or QLT Facilitation Fundamentals)

Teachers are trained in the delivery of specific learning and life skills curriculum. They receive scripts for the courses along with student handouts. This curriculum is based on SuperCamp, a learning and life skills program with over 48,000 graduates worldwide.

• Learning Skills courses include: Quantum Reading, Quantum Writing, spelling, vocabulary, memory, time-management, learning styles, math mastery, note-taking and test-taking strategies.
• Life Skills courses include: The 8 Keys of Excellence, responsibility, goal-setting, communication skills, relationships, creativity and problem solving, and more!
